Scope of this notice

This notice describes local calculations and optional Google Analytics on packcalcs.com. Advertising remains disabled. Contact contact@packcalcs.com for privacy questions. The operator must still supply its legal identity and confirm hosting and account retention settings.

Calculator inputs and generated files

The calculation engine runs in your browser. PackCalcs does not send dimensions, quantities, weights, costs, packing arrangements, or generated files to a calculation server. Calculations do not require an account.

Exports are created locally and saved through your browser. Copy controls use your device's clipboard only when you activate them. Any information you copy, download, or share remains subject to the choices you make with those files and other applications.

Share links include the inputs you choose to share

The share-link feature encodes input values in the fragment portion of the URL, after the # character. Browser requests do not send that fragment as part of the page request. However, anyone who receives the complete link can read its values, and the link can remain in browser history, synced history, or the application where you share it.

Do not place confidential customer or commercial information in a link you intend to publish. Opening a shared link loads its validated input values into the calculator; it does not make those values private or access-controlled.

Local preferences

A manual light or dark theme choice is stored in this browser's local storage so the preference can be restored. Without a saved choice, the site follows the system color scheme. The build does not persist calculator inputs in a database or use local storage for advertising identifiers.

You can remove saved site preferences through your browser's site-data controls. If local storage is unavailable, the calculators remain usable; the preference may not persist between visits.

Page delivery and hosting

Loading a page or an asset necessarily sends a request to the hosting service. Such requests may expose network information such as an IP address, requested path, browser information, and timing to that service. This is separate from the local calculation engine.

The actual hosting provider, logging settings, retention periods, and operator contact details must be confirmed by the site operator before public launch. This notice does not invent a retention period or claim that ordinary network requests leave no data.

Advertising and analytics

Google Analytics (measurement ID G-J8169GCFL4) loads only on packcalcs.com or www.packcalcs.com after you allow analytics in the footer. Before consent, after rejection and on local previews, no Google tag is loaded. Google receives page-visit and technical browser/network information and may set analytics cookies. The integration uses sanitized page URLs without query strings or shared-input fragments, an empty referrer, and no calculator values or files. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled. Analytics cookies are configured for up to 90 days without automatic renewal; Google account data retention must be confirmed by the operator.

Allow or reject analytics with equally visible footer controls, and revisit Analytics preferences to withdraw. A versioned choice is stored locally. Withdrawal removes accessible analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tag. If storage is unavailable, the choice may not persist. Calculator use does not require analytics. Advertising remains disabled and requires a separate reviewed integration.

External links and privacy requests

Guides may link to technical references on other websites. Following a link opens a separate service governed by its own practices. PackCalcs does not control those services.
